Type 1 and 2 diabetics have a vitamin D deficiency
Some reasons for vitamin D deficiencies are just.
- Not enough sunlight. Using too much sunscreen, or clothing will keep your body from not getting the vitamin D it needs.
- They do not get enough vitamin D through their diet. (Good source is Egg yolks, saltwater fish, Cod liver oil, liver and products with added vitamin D.)
- Taking corticosteroids for other illnesses are twice as likely to be vitamin D deficient then a non-user. Corticosteroids, including prednisone, are a class of drugs that reduce inflammation and suppress the immune system. Corticosteroids come in, skin creams, injections and inhaled forms; however, this study examined only people who took them orally. There are Variety of different prednisone drugs on the market using a different name, also Generic names. Too many to list on this blog.
Please bog back and let me know of any reasons I have not listed. Or if any of this pertains to you.
